1. Who We Are

ViewAnyFile.app is an online file viewer and converter built and operated by Ahsan Mehmood at Xechtech. We provide free browser-based tools for viewing, converting, and processing files across 400+ formats — including PDF, DOCX, images, audio, video, 3D models, CAD files, and code.

2. Files You Open or Upload

We do not upload, store, or transmit your files. When you open a file on ViewAnyFile.app, it is read directly by your browser using the File API. The file data stays in your browser tab's memory and is discarded when you close the tab.

This includes all file types: documents, images, audio, video, spreadsheets, archives, 3D models, CAD files, and any other format we support.

Exception: Certain legacy formats (e.g. older DOC, XLS, PPT files) may be processed via a server-side conversion endpoint. In these cases, the file is transmitted over HTTPS, processed immediately, and deleted from our servers — it is never stored or logged.

3. Information We Collect

3a. Information You Provide

We do not require an account, login, or registration to use ViewAnyFile.app. We do not collect your name, email, or any personal information unless you contact us directly.

3b. Automatically Collected Information

When you visit our website, our hosting provider automatically logs standard server access data:

• IP address (anonymised where possible)
• Browser type and version
• Operating system
• Pages visited and time of visit
• Referring URL

This data is used for security monitoring, abuse prevention, and aggregate traffic analysis. It is not used to identify individual users and is not sold or shared with third parties for marketing purposes.

4. Cookies

We use the following types of cookies:

4a. Essential Cookies

These cookies are necessary for the website to function. They store your theme preference (dark/light mode) and other interface settings locally in your browser. No personal data is involved.

4b. Advertising Cookies (Google AdSense)

We do not store user files. Server access logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days for security purposes and then deleted. We do not retain any personal information beyond what is necessary for operational security.

8. Children's Privacy

ViewAnyFile.app is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it immediately.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
